About

Michael Moose is an architect whose interests include design, architectural photography, and book design. He has  B.A. & a B. Architecture degrees from the University of Arkansas and an M.Architecture from Yale University and three decades of experience–most recently as design leader and a principal at glaserworks.  

Among his most recent works at that firm are the design of Marge Schott Stadium at the University of Cincinnati, the West Chester Branch of the Middletown Public Library (with Mark Thurnauer) and the Fairview Clifton German Language School. Other significant work includes Centennial Plaza, 525 Vine and renovations of the Cincinnati Art Museum, Cincinnati Music Hall, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and Findlay Market.

He is particularly interested in church architecture. Among the projects he has designed are renovations to All Saints, St. Mary Church and School, St. Xavier Church and St. Peter in Chains Cathedral.

He is a past president of the Architectural Foundation of Cincinnati.  For that organization he initiated the Hammer Award (for a practitioner who has had a sustained and hands-on effect on quality of architecture of Cincinnati.  He has coordinated two charrettes for Over-the-Rhine.

 Michael,  John Schneider and Dan Deering were instrumental in starting the campaign for a new streetcar for Cincinnati.
